Living in Perth, we are so blessed to have nature all around us. This Friday evening, we went to visit Claremont Jetty in all its beauty.
Downdogs gave us a shift in perspective, an upside-down view of the horizon. We witnessed birds sweeping down, a dog running through our mats and children, just learning to walk. We practiced with the sights, sounds and cycle of nature.
Thank you to yoga. And thank you for the river for bringing us back to our senses. We realised that we actually don’t need yoga (asanas) to do yoga. All we need for yoga is a connection our selves and the ground we stand on, a deep listening to what’s around us and an awareness of movement.
With nature around us, we were encouraged to respond with the natural state of being – the giving of our breath, and the giving back of soul.
