Do I need to book my class?
Yes! Class sizes are limited to 16 participants so it is essential to book ahead, via Mindbody online. Drop-ins welcome if there is space.
What do I wear?
Wear clean, comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch, breathe and sweat.
What if I’m not ‘good’ at yoga?
There is no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ in yoga. If you’re intimidated at the thought of not being able to touch your toes, yoga is totally beyond that! With consistent practice, you will build flexibility, strength and conditioning, without feeling defeated.
Can I go to any class if I’ve never practiced yoga before?
Options and modifications are provided for you in all classes, so you can always practice no matter your level. However, just take note that our Lotus Flow and Core Power classes require some previous experience as the class moves more dynamically. Slow Flow, Yin Yoga and Restorative are great as a start, to get a good grasp of alignment and to receive instruction on the foundational postures to keep your body safe.
Where do I park?
Ample parking is available at the car park just behind the studio, through Doonan Rd and or street parking on Doonan Rd. However please try to carpool and know that that the air you inhale is a little sweeter if you ride it out with a friend. Even better, warm up for class with a stroll or ride to Bodyscape Yoga. Please park mindfully and do not to park on the neighbouring lawns.
What if I’m late or I have to leave early?
The back door is our entrance and class starts on time (with doors locked straight away) so please arrive at least 10 minutes early (or 15 minutes early if you are new). No late arrivals. If you need to leave early, please let the teacher know before class and leave as quietly as possible.
Should I eat or drink before class?
If you are comfortable eating 30 minutes before exercise, then go ahead but make sure it’s something light! Otherwise, allow 1-2 hours to let the food settle down before class and drink plenty of water before, during and after class!
Can I practice if I’m pregnant?
Yes, as long as you are aware of your body and let me know prior to class so that I can modify the poses for you. It is up to you, but it is advisable to check with your doctor.
Do I have to bring a mat?
No. Mats are available for you to borrow - just wipe it down with our yoga mat sprays made of therapeutic grade essential oils. You are also welcome to bring your own mat.
